| Pinewood Elementary is a
unique place to learn in a rigorous and exciting
environment. Currently there are 20 first through fifth
grade classes, 4 kindergarten classes, 2 ECLS classes and 2
ALS classes. Parent and community volunteers contribute to
our successful school programs and high student achievement.
Our PTA supports our school tremendously. Pinewood is a proud Maryland “Green School". Our school has received recognition from the American Heart Association as one of the top state fundraisers for “Jump Rope for Heart” and we are active supporters for "Kids Helping Hopkins". Pinewood students routinely compete and place in the music, art, Black Saga and other competitions held locally and state wide. Pinewood has been honored by the Maryland State Department of Education for overall performance on the Maryland School Assessment. Pinewood is “Focused on Quality; Committed to Excellence.” |
The excellence of our student's learning today is reflected in school, state and national exams. The dedication of the Pinewood staff, the active involvement of the Pinewood parents and the high expectations for Pinewood students all contribute to preparing Pinewood students for a successful tomorrow.
