MEET OUR OFFICE
STAFF
Mrs. Arnold - Principal

Greetings Pinewood Family and Friends!
I am your principal, Kathryn Arnold. I
welcome you to the Pinewood Website. This is my fifth year at Pinewood. Prior
to coming to Pinewood I was an Assistant Principal at Oakleigh Elementary.
Before my administrative experience I mentored new teachers in the Southwest.
In my first years in the county system I was a music teacher in schools
primarily in the northwest portion of the county. I received my undergraduate
degree in education from Mansfield University and my Masters in Administration
from Loyola College.
I have two children. My son is a
senior at
Emory University and my daughter is a freshman at Alabama. My husband and
I miss our son and daughter but stay very busy with our cat and new dog(puppy)!
We are very proud of the Pinewood students and
encourage you to be a Pinewood volunteer. We welcome your support and
involvement. Stop by my office to say "hi".
Mrs. Rueter - Assistant
Principal

Welcome to Pinewood
Elementary!
Thank you for the warm welcome to Pinewood
Elementary this past year. I am delighted to be part of such a supportive
school community and enjoy working with such wonderful children. I came to
Pinewood from a neighboring school, Cromwell Valley Elementary Regional
Magnet School of Technology in Towson, where I taught fourth and fifth
grade. I received my Masters in Teaching from Towson University and earned
my Administrator I certification through Goucher College.
I am a “career changer” having worked in
business management and been a stay at home mother for many years. I am
married and have three wonderful children. My daughter graduated from
college in May 2007, my eldest son is a junior in college, and my youngest
son is a junior in high school.
I am looking forward to another year working
with the Pinewood students, parents, faculty, and staff and feel privileged
to be part of such a positive school community!
Mrs. Laura Nossel -
Administrative Secretary

Hi! I am the Administrative Office Professional at Pinewood
Elementary. It is a pleasure working with the Pinewood students and
their families. Everyone is so friendly! Before transferring to
Pinewood I was at Oakleigh Elementary for 11 years. Before my
educational experience I was in the Corporate Accounting department of
Alexander and Alexander in Owings Mills.
I
am married and have two children who always make me proud! My son Andrew
is a refrigeration technician for L. H. Cranston and my daughter Megan
is a RN on staff at Good
Samaritan Hospital. Megan and her
husband Bobby have a wonderful daughter, Taylor Elizabeth, who I love
spending time with! We have two dogs, a black Labrador named
Shadow and a brown Labrador named Holly.
I
enjoy reading a good book, snow skiing, going to the beach, spending
time with my nieces and nephews, and my passion is high performance
boating on the Chesapeake Bay!!!
Please do not hesitate to contact me.
Mrs. Bonnie
Daffron- Office
Secretary

This is my second year at
Pinewood Elementary and I feel very much at home. It has been wonderful
getting to know all of your children. This is a wonderful community!
I have 3 children and an adoring husband.
We just celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary. My husband is a
Baltimore County Police Officer and my 19 year old son will soon follow
in his footsteps. He is presently a cadet for the Maryland
Transportation Authority Police Dept. I have 2 daughters who both attend
Baltimore County Schools.
Before becoming employed
with Baltimore County schools, I was a stay at home mom and a very involved
parent at school. Both my husband and I served as PTA Presidents, each for 3
years. I was a substitute teacher and was involved in numerous school
committees. I can appreciate all of the hard work that goes into volunteering
and give you all a thousand kudos!!’ Pinewood has a wonderful PTA board and so
many fabulous hard working volunteers. You should all be very proud.
I absolutely love working
here in the front office at Pinewood. I have known Mrs. Arnold and Mrs. Nossel
for 12 years, and it is a dream come true to be working alongside them. With
Mrs. Rueter being part of the office team we have become one “happy” office
family!!! I hope this doesn’t go unnoticed. Please come by and say “hi” or
contact me anytime!
