The
ESOL Program
Chadwick Elementary is proud of its diverse student population. Our
students' families come from over 15 different countries. The ESOL
Program at Chadwick helps ELL students work to gain proficiency
in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through the
content areas of reading, math, science and social studies. We
work with grade level topics from the Maryland Voluntary State
Curriculum in order to help students develop their academic language
skills and learning strategies.
After School Activities
The ESOL Homework Helpers Club offers ESOL students help
with their homework on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. Volunteers
from the business and school community work with students
in small groups.
