     The community this school serves is:

  • Diverse: There is a wide range in socioeconomic factors. 48.7% of our students receive free and reduced lunches, while many other students live in homes valued from $300,000 to $400,000. Racially, 29% of our students are African American, 66% of our students are white, and 5% are of other races.
  • Uniqueness: Chase is unique in its waterfront location and expansive camp

  • Regular classes: 367
  • Special Education-inclusion only: 65 (17.7%)
  • ESOL: 3 (.8%)

Structure and Programs:

  • Special Education: Inclusion only
  • Gifted and Talented: Primary Talent Development Program (Kindergarten-Grade 2), PACE reading/language arts (K-2) and PACE mathematics (K-3), and gifted and talented curriculum (Gr. 3-5)
  • Career and Technology: Complete computer lab and 3-5 computers in each classroom; televisions in every classroom; laptops with wireless internet in one grade 5 classroom
