Eastwood Elementary Magnet School is located in the Eastwood Community of Southeastern Baltimore County. The community of Eastwood is a multi-generational, middle income community of approximately 800 town homes. Many of the children who grew up in the Eastwood community have returned as adults to raise their families. This stable neighborhood continues to support close family ties, generation after generation. Students at Eastwood Elementary Magnet School live in many surrounding communities such as; Dundalk, Essex, Middleborough, Bowley's Quarters, Middlesex, Chase, Edgemere, Middle River, Hawthorne, Sparrow's Point, and Fort Howard.
Eastwood Elementary Magnet School’s magnet program is limited to students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. The current enrollment is around 200 students, with an average class size of about 24.
Our magnet program is designed to enrich the curriculum and enhance student learning through the integration of a STEM environmental science focus.
Mission
Our mission as an environmental science magnet is to provide a safe, nurturing environment that enables all students to achieve academic success within a community of scientifically aware students.
