School Counselor

Hello! I’m Heather Wright and this is my first year as the school counselor at Hernwood Elementary. Previously, I was a middle school counselor in Raleigh, NC. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary Washington in Psychology and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from The Ohio State University. I truly enjoy working with the wonderful students, families, and staff at our school.

I have a wonderful husband, Jerome, and an adorable dog, Chloe. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, riding roller coasters, reading, watching movies, and learning how to sew.
