Welcome New and Returning McCormick Elementary Parents for the 2008-2009 School Year! A Message from your New PTA President Dear Parents, I hope you enjoyed your summer! I want to take this time to let you know what your PTA has been up to. We have spent a lot of time over the summer planning for the coming school year and we want you to be a part of it. We, from the PTA, have a lot of exciting things planned from fundraisers, to school activities, to evening events planned for all McCormick families. One of the things that fundraisers will allow us to do is to provide fun and educational assemblies throughout the year. I invite everyone to join the PTA and support our school. It’s such a small cost! Every membership, combined with our shared vision, will help us provide more for our children. Did you know with school budget cuts, supplies for each classroom are very limited? The PTA gives each teacher $25.00 to help with class room supplies. Did you also know that at the school’s annual “Sports Day” the PTA provides water and juice for each child? These are just a few of the many ways the PTA helps to support our children. Won’t you join? It’s only $5.00 for each person to join and become a PTA member. All can join. Your child’s grandparents, aunts, uncles, moms and dads are also encouraged to join. Joining the PTA will also give you access to a world of information for FREE. We will have McCormick tee-shirts available for you to purchase at $7.00 each. Catch the McCormick spirit!!!
