Counselor Connection

Welcome to a wonderful year at McCormick Elementary. My name is Dawn Bouder and I am a fully certified professional school counselor.  I have earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.  I previously taught first grade for seven years in both Baltimore City and Baltimore County.  

The school counseling program at McCormick Elementary includes a variety of services; such as individual counseling, group counseling, and classroom guidance lessons, as well as parent and teacher consultation. In addition, the school counseling program coordinates positive school wide initiatives such as “Peer Helpers” and “Good Characters”. Also, the program coordinates information services, contributes to educational meetings and referral assistance to other programs and services in the community.
