The Mission of McCormick Elementary School
McCormick Elementary continues to focus on improving student achieve-
ment through educational equity for all students, with special emphasis
on the minority students. We are sensitive to the unique cultural
diversity that exists within our community. We will continue to
explore and implement
new ideas and techniques which will positively effect our children’s
intellectual development, pursue their strengths, remedy their weaknesses
and create success for all in school!
We believe that each child
can and will learn.
We believe that our students
should have dreams and aspirations that will lead them into higher
levels of learning.
We understand that the involvement
of parents and the community can greatly enhance that learning.
We pledge to provide to our
students and their families:
A safe school where all are treated with respect
A high-quality instructional program provided by trained, committed
teachers
The collaborative efforts of the entire McCormick faculty, staff
and PTA
The resources that each child needs to experience success
A comfortable school where each person sees him/herself
Ongoing communication
Opportunities for all to be involved in the school program
