COMMUNITY:Orems Elementary School is located in the Northeastern section of Baltimore County known as the Middle River-Essex area.  The community is a stable one with rich historical traditions.

SCHOOL:Orems Elementary School is a comprehensive elementary school serving 350 students.  Orems offers fully accredited and validated prekindergarten programs, kindergarten programs, and first through fifth grades.  Special education programs are delivered through inclusion, resource, preschool and kindergarten outreach.

STAFF: The professional staff is composed of 17 classroom teachers, a reading specialist, 2 resource teachers, guidance
counselor, librarian, art teacher, vocal music teacher, instrumental music teacher, physical education teacher, speech and language pathologist, nurse, and two administrators.  Each teacher meets the standard of being highly qualified.

SCHOOL GOALS: The Orems Elementary School Improvement Plan centers around each child being on grade level in reading, math and writing.  Schoolwide programs are implemented to address these goals.  A nurturing, active and challenging learning environment is maintained through the collaborative efforts of all constituencies.

PTA: The PTA is composed of dedicated parents who are advocates for the education of the students at Orems.  The Organization provides informative general meetings, cultural events, special awards, book fairs, community service projects, and active volunteers. http://sites.google.com/site/oremspta/
