I grew up in NJ. For my undergraduate degree, I
went to York College in PA where I received a bachelor’s
degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special
Education. After that, I moved to MD and taught
in Baltimore City public schools for five years
while obtaining my master’s degree from JHU
in School Counseling. The summer after graduation,
I was hired here. I have had a great experience
working with the students and their families here
at here. This past summer I finished my post master’s
degree in Clinical Community Counseling from JHU.
Currently, I am working towards completing clinical
counseling hours to become a licensed counselor.
I enjoy taking additional courses that enhance my
counseling abilities and expand my knowledge of
counseling young children.
In my spare time, I like to go running, biking,
kayaking and skiing with my husband and my friends.
I am also in a book club that meets monthly. Additionally,
I enjoy traveling to any place that I have never
been before.
I am privileged to have a position that gives me
the chance to work with all of the students at Seventh
District Elementary. I am very fortunate to have
the opportunity to see them grow both emotionally
and academically from year to year. The support
of the teachers, parents, administrators, and community
members really shines through in our students.
