Message from the Principal

Mrs. Leslie Brooks

My name is Leslie Brooks.  I have worked in the Baltimore County Public School system for many years as a teacher of students with special needs.  Following that experience, I served as the Assistant Principal at Padonia International School.

I have served as the Instructional Leader and Principal at Seventh District Elementary School since 2005.  I look forward to continuing to build a positive, collaborative relationship with staff members, parents, community stakeholders, and most importantly, our students.

As a school system, we are dedicated to providing a quality educational program for all students.  The mission of Seventh District Elementary School is to provide all students with an engaging, authentic, and rigorous learning environment in which students will reach their maximum potential as responsible life-long learners and productive citizens.  We envision a school in which the staff, parents, and community function as a professional learning community to monitor each student’s progress through data analysis, implement research based instructional strategies to improve student achievement, and develop critical and creative thinkers through rigorous instruction and higher level questioning.

Improved student achievement can only be realized by parents and communities working as partners in the educational process with effective, knowledgeable, and dedicated administrators, teachers, and staff.  This website is part of this continuing effort to build that strong home-school connection.  Please feel free to contact me at any time by phone (410-887-1902), note, or email lbrooks@bcps.org
