Ms. Juliana Barbulunga
Ms. Julianna Barbulunga, Reading Specialist

I am new to Seventh District this year. After graduating from Middlebury College as a history major, I joined Teach for America and got placed in Baltimore City as a first grade teacher. While teaching first grade, I earned my Masters degree in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins University. My passion for teaching literacy led me to pursue a second Masters degree in Language and Literacy from Harvard's Graduate School of Education. Halfway through completing the program, I became engaged and began interviewing for jobs in the Baltimore area, where my fiancé is a third year medical student. I fell in love with Seventh District when I interviewed here, and I am more than happy to make the long drive up from Baltimore each day! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, running, shopping, and planning for my July 8th wedding!
