Mrs. Kathi Schmidt

I have been the Inclusion teacher for 3-5 grades here at 7th since 2005. Prior to 7th I taught kindergarten, 4th grade, and 6th grade. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Minor in Special Education at York College of Pennsylvania and am currently working on completing a Reading Specialization Certificate at Goucher College. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3 wonderful children. Of all my teaching experiences, 7th has been the most rewarding. The teachers and families are more supportive and welcoming than any other school in which I have worked.

This is my first year at Seventh District Elementary, although I have taught for ten years.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Maryland.  I am currently working on completing my master’s degree.  I live in Baldwin, Maryland with my husband and two sons.  I enjoy camping and boating with my family and friends.   I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Seventh District staff.  I look forward to a great year here as the Primary Outreach Special Education Teacher working with second and third graders.

I have been teaching at Seventh District since 2005.  I live in Parkton with my husband and 2 children who are in Hereford Middle and High School.  I love living and working in the HZ!  I have a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana U. of PA and a Master’s in Education and a Master’s in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University.   I have taught every grade and was a Speech Therapist for several years.   After teaching for many years, I have found the best job here at Seventh District.  I love teaching children to read!  In my spare time I love watching my children play sports and spending time with my family.

I have taught in Baltimore County schools for several years and in many different capacities from teaching a 5th Grade homeroom , third grade, technology , and my current position in 4th grade math and language.  I love Seventh and look forward to spending time with your children daily.  They are such wonderful students!  When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family which includes my husband and our son and daughter.  I often see many Seventh students on the weekends at athletic events as my son plays lacrosse and soccer.  Keep your eyes open girls and boys you just my catch me at one of your games!

I have a master’s degree in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University. I am very happy to be here at Seventh District and work with your children. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. When I am not in the classroom you can most often find me on the sideline of a Hereford Soccer game or watching a play at HHS.
