Baltimore County Department of Social Services

Baltimore County DSS is proud to be part of this innovative collaboration. BCoDSS believes in a comprehensive, integrated response to the educational, social and emotional needs of children and their families.

The goal of the BCoDSS Bridge Center program is to assist students in becoming socially, emotionally and academically successful, while achieving stability within their school, home and community environments, with the ultimate goal of helping students reach their full potential.

The program provides an integrated social work service in the Bridge Center and its feeder schools which meets the child welfare priorities of the Baltimore County Department of Social Services, and offers a program in which students receive the support, counseling, and social skills they need in order to succeed within their community school environments.

Services offered include:

  • individual counseling
  • family counseling
  • group counseling
  • home/group home visitation
  • case management
  • referral to community resources
  • consultation with other professionals involved with the student
