Mr. John Bilingslea, Psychology Teacher

The Last Crossing by Guy Vanderhaeghe

Set in the late 19th century, The Last Crossing is the story of three well-off English brothers: twins Simon and Charles Gaunt and their elder sibling, Addington, a former soldier and an arrogant scoundrel. The Essays of E.B. White by E.B. White

DESCRIPTION - A collection of his greatest essays.

TRIVIA - It's a signed, first edition that I bought from a bookstore in Pittsburgh.

MY THOUGHTS - I have to read the essays sparingly because I want to save most of the book to read this summer when we stay at Great Pond, Maine,

where White wrote Charlotte's Web  and an essay that I teach every year about the father/son cycle of life called "Once More to the Lake".
