The Second World War: A Collage

The Scenario:  You are in your eighties.  One day, your grandchildren come over and begin talking about the Second World War and what they learned in history class.  You realize that your grandchildren understand the facts (i.e. your reading homework) but they do not understand what it felt like.  Luckily, while your memory was still fresh in the 1950s, you created a collage of images of your experiences. 

The Task:   

1. You will have 45 minutes to create a collage of your experiences in the Second World War.  Consider: What's in the collage? What emotions do you want to demonstrate?  What technology seemed important?  What battles were major?  How did you feel?

2. You will need catalog each item and create a timeline of events for your individual over a three-year time period.  What theatre did he/she participate in?  What battles was he/she in? Was he/she captured?
