Please congratulate Steve B. for finishing 2nd this weekend at the State Championships. Steve worked very hard all year and finished his career with a great tournament.
Nick N.
wrestled hard but finished 0-2 in the state tournament due to injury.
We should be very proud of these young men for both their efforts and the way in which they represented Overlea.

Congrats AGAIN, Track Stars!

Ladies' Update from Saturday, May 28, 2011:

4x100m relay 2nd place and a PR of almost 2 second (Personal Record - best time this season; runners: Tiffany Dorsey, Kim Ndukwe, Celeste Cowell and Erica Udumukwu) AND all this with Celeste showing up a mere 5 minutes before final call was made!!! (the meet ran quicker than expected!) 100m Erica Udumukwu 6th place
300H Aqilah Bullen 10th and a PR
200m Erica Udumukwu 7th and a PR

Mens' Update from Saturday:
4x100m relay 6th place and a PR (Jourdan Chase, Montice Birden, Isaac Nunez, Fyne Ndukwe)
4x400m relay 14th place, BUT a PR of almost 5 seconds and a PR split by lead leg Michael Washington (2nd leg: Brandon Miller, 3rd: Fyne Ndukwe, anchor: Isaac Nunez)

Our team of 5 girls placed 13th out of 30 teams; there were 2 ties above them, so it's really like 11th; other teams brought WAY more athletes than we did...and the team that beat them in the 4x100m relay was 1st overall.

Thanks to all that have supported track this season. It is greatly appreciated.
