Theatre II students present an original Black History Month production
Senior Athena C. wrote and directed a special theatre production to help celebrate Black History month at Overlea High School. Her play, "Her Story is His Story" stars eight OHS Theatre II students as well as their teacher, Mrs. Andrea Brown in a moving story about a modern day black family.

In the author's words:
This play was created by the B1 Theatre II and III class. All actors and actresses have put in their time and effort to bring this play to life. It all started when we sat down to discuss the idea of a play dedicated to black history month. This is what we came up with. THis is our own work. I hope the audience will walk away with more appreciation of black history. I cannot think of a better person to thank than Mrs. Brown for pushing us to do a great job. I also would like to thank all the teachers who let us out of class or donated a prop or two.
