The Audio Video Communications program will prepare students to use and maintain radio, audio and video equipment through experiences in areas relating to broadcasting and audio and video production. Students will develop skills relating to communications, broadcasting, editing, enterprising, technical and script writing, and promotion. These courses allow students to expand their knowledge of the communication and broadcast industry and encourage students to focus on their individual talents in audio video specific areas. Students will be prepared with basic skills that will enable them to pursue careers or advanced education in communications, broadcasting or audio video production fields.

The Graphic/Print Communications Technology program will provide students with the fundamental work place skills, technical application skills, and interpersonal skills necessary to enter and succeed in a diverse, high-paying career associated with the graphic/print communications industry. Students will learn about artistic expression, computer operations, graphics and imagery software applications (Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Photoshop, InDesign), desktop publishing, mechanical art, photography,
digital camera and digital printing, image assembly, offset and screen printing processes, teamwork, problem solving, and communications skills necessary in today's modern graphic/printing communications facility. A partnership with Printing and Imaging Industries of Maryland and The Community College of Baltimore County provides students with the opportunities to go directly to work, to receive on-the-job training, earn articulated college credit, and/or to enter college to further their career.

The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program is a comprehensive program that prepares students with related academic, workplace readiness, technical and life long learning skills that are needed in the modern workplace. The program will introduce students to the latest climate control systems with hands-on training on central air, heat pumps, oil and gas furnaces, and most light commercial units being used today. Senior level summer and capstone work experience will also allow credit for HVAC apprenticeship work experience standards. Students successfully completing the program and obtaining a state apprenticeship license will receive credit for one year of their state apprenticeship. They are also eligible for advanced placement in first year apprenticeship in the Associated Builders and Contractors’ (ABC) Apprentice Program. They may also be eligible for advanced placement and/or testing opportunities through other union or non-union apprenticeship programs and/or receive college credit at a post-secondary institution through an articulation agreement. Upon graduation students can enter employment, complete journeyperson apprenticeship, and/or earn a degree at a two or four year college.
