I am very excited to announce that we will be participating in Good Neighbor Week again this year.
It will begin November 22nd and end on the 28th (the week of Thanksgiving Break).
It is a wonderful opportunity for students to work in the community and to make a difference in the lives of others.
Some suggested activities include sending letters to the elderly, collecting lose change for a local charity,
donating books for less fortunate children, creating posters to raise awareness for a specific cause,
working to improve school grounds, or any other activity that will benefit others!
SGA has already offered to hold their annual food drive...
last year we broke a school record for the most items ever collected!
Care Packages for Soldiers:
The collection of items for our 'Care Packages for Soldiers' campaign
begins on Monday, November 16th, and runs through November 23rd.
Please encourage your students to participate.
Our soldiers give up so much to protect our freedom,
the least we can do is show our appreciation for all that they do!
Drop off locations will be the main office AND room 106.
A few suggestions that you may want to take into consideration:
1. Letters should be addressed Dear Friend...
2.
If possible, toiletry items should be scent free to avoid attracting bugs.
Some activities that groups/teams/classes have sugguested are:
If your team, club, class, or group would like to participate please e-mail me your community activity!
We plan to make Good Neighbor Week even bigger and better then last year!
