Stuff a Bus for the Harvest for the Hungry CMS Named the Algebraic Thinking School of the Week September
21, 2008 - Pinwheels for Peace is an art installation project started
in 2005, as a way for students to express their feelings about what’s
going on in the world and in their lives. Art Students at CMS participated
in this international art installation. September 21st was International
Peace Day and to celebrate students at CMS installed about 800 pinwheels
in front of our school. Students in art classes spent about two
days constructing and making art about peace on each pinwheel. The
final installation was a collaboration of art from all three art
teachers and students.
