From
the Principal's Desk
Arbutus Middle School
K. Johnson, Esq., Principal

Communication is key to effective
home school relations. As such, please note that
Arbutus Middle School parents/guardians are encouraged
to call or email Arbutus Middle School teachers when
there are concerns or questions. In a similar vein, monthly newsletters are no longer disseminated via United States Postal Services (AMS is “going green”). To
solidify our communication efforts, I will send frequent
phone messages via our Connect Ed service. Should
you desire to discontinue receiving these phone
communications or would like to change your contact
number, please call the school at 410-887-1402.
Please do not wait for others
to be kind, show them how. Be recklessly courteous, and wildly
polite. You will be glad you did!
Please take note of the following
critical information:

-
Thank you for a great 08-09 school year. AMS students, teachers, parents, and community members are the BEST! Have a relaxing and peaceful summer!

- Please read all items on our website, AMS student handbook, BCPS student handbook, parent handbook, and other school/teacher distributed literature very carefully to ensure that communication is clear and consistent.

- Please review your child's grades and attendance after first quarter (quarter ends on November 5, 2009). Thank you in advance for contacting teachers to explore ways your child can increase his/her achievement/behavior/attendance in their classes. Your support as a great home-school partner is invaluable.
