HMS Spotlight
Hereford Middle School attended the BCSC
end of the year Bull Roast at Oregon Ridge
on May 15th. During the Bull Roast, student
councils from all over Baltimore County
gathered to celebrate their accomplishments
and community service throughout the year.
Hereford Middle School’s Student
Council was awarded a Service Project
award for their contributions to Kids
Helping Hopkins with the money they raised
from the school’s annual Penny Wars
competition. Amanda B. and
Sara C., HMS historians, were awarded
1st place in the scrapbook competition
for their HMS Student Council scrapbook.
The main event during
the Bull Roast was the induction of
the following year’s officer team.
Sworn in by Dr. Hairston, Olivia K.
and Sara C. accepted the roles of President
and Second Vice President. Olivia K.,
a freshman at Hereford High School,
became the youngest BCSC president in
the history of the organization. Sara
C., a seventh grader, will oversee next
year’s Baltimore County Middle
School Leadership Workshop.
