 The Goals of the World Language Teachers are:

  • to enable students to comprehend common expressions and structures used in everyday situations.
  • to enable students to participate in verbal exchanges on familiar topics to develop the ability to use the target language.
  • to provide students with the tools necessary for comprehending essential information in short written materials.
  • to provide students with the tools for writing to convey personal and factual information.
  • to assist students in the learning of geography and cultural heritage in order to develop an appreciation of the individuals who speak the target language.

 Long Term Student Projects:

 1. Unit assignments(posters, travel brochures, meus, family albums, etc.)

 2. Group skits

 3. Special presentations

 4. Research Spanish-speaking countries 

 5. Research Paris monuments and places of interest



 Suggested Strategies for Studying:

*Flashcards -
    English -> French
    English -> Spanish
    Verb conjugations

*Teaching a younger sibling

*A little bit every night is better than two hours the night before a test/quiz.
