From the Desk of the Principal
The Old Court Middle School faculty and staff are committed to providing our students with a quality education that will prepare them to become productive citizens. We ask that parents work with us by talking and encouraging their children to put forth their best effort at all times. Please implement the following recommendations.
- Talk with your child about each school day. Ask him/her specific questions about what was learned.
- Don’t just ask your children whether they have done their homework. Ask to see the homework and take time to review it with them. Students always have homework. However, it may not be a written assignment. Students are always responsible for reviewing and studying the learning of the day.
- If you have any questions about your child’s progress, please contact the teachers or the grade level guidance counselor.
- Review the syllabus for each class with your child. This will help you to understand what is being expected of your child.
- Remember that your child has not outgrown the need for your help
Our school theme is “Positive Attitude + Hard Work = High Achievement.” As our theme denotes, we believe that all students can be successful with the right attitude and the proper amount of effort.
Educationally Yours,
Dr. Lynette Woodley
