Read a novel
from the 2009-2010 Black-Eyed Susan Book List (on
back). Then, complete one of the activities
below.
OPTION
A: Prologue or Afterword
Imagine what
happened before your book began and what happens after
the action ends. Write a prologue or afterward
to the novel you read. A prologue should
describe an event that happens before the novel
begins. An afterward should describe an event
that happens after the novel ends.
Your

OPTION
B: Memory Box
In a shoe box (or similar-sized
box), put 5-7 things the main character of your book
might have kept. You can either use real objects or
pictures of objects. Decorate the outside of the box
like the main character might have done. Finally,
include a paper in the box listing the objects and why
they would be important to the character.
GRADING:
This
assignment is worth 50 extra credit points in
your language arts or Language! class.
Turn
in your project to your homeroom teacher. It is due
Friday, September 4th. No late projects will be
accepted! Do not forget to write your name and grade
on your project!
