To promote reading and our Maryland state flower---the Black-Eyed Susan---a list of ten "suggested reading books" is provided each school year for various grade levels. Students are encouraged to read these books, then vote for their favorite book. Woodlawn Middle celebrates each year with the vote and a party, as students discuss books they've read 
from the list.
Students should turn in their log of books read in the library media center. Join us! And, happy reading...
